Aleksi Knuutila is an anthropologist and a Computational social Scientists studying political culture and communities in only spaces. He is interested in developing new workflows to include machine learning in interpretative research workflows, particularly with visual media. He is currently leading several research projects on these topics. Upcoming work focuses on the representation of the war in Ukraine on Telegram and left-revolutionary political ideation on Instagram meme accounts.
