AI Monday RECAP

AI Monday Berlin 10/02/2020

AI Monday, Feb 10, 2020

This was the first #aimonday in 2020. And it came with some news: Andreas Schepers – Head of Communication at DFKI – joined us on stage to announce the partnership for the event in Berlin. He also shared some insights about the DFKI during his opening speech.

In 2020 we have planned 6 events in Berlin – each of those events focusing on a specific topc. This first one focused on “AI & Human Machine Interaction”.

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Krüger – our location host who invited us to facilitate AI Monday at the PTZ and Head of Industrial Automation Technology TU Berlin / Fraunhofer IPK talked about his perspective of “AI in Production”. Super interesting perspectives.

Norma Hoeft – Head of IoT, AI Strategy at German Bionic talked about the “Intelligent power suits and the future of smart bionics” as well as presented with Erik Eitel their Smart exoskeleton “Cray X”.

Jan König – Co-founder of Jovo – talked about “Voice as a Human-Machine Interface”. How can companies use voice interfaces to their advantage? In his talk he provided an overview of the current state of voice. He also went into the question why companies should build on top of platforms like Amazon Alexa or build their own voice assistants.

The next AI Monday will be on March 16. We are invited by 50Hertz (Heidestraße 2, 10557 Berlin) and we will focus on “AI and the Energy Sector”. Super exciting topic – hope to see many of you again.
